Lake George/Weereewaa is a fascinating place that has interested many people for millennia. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the visit to the lake by Governor Lachlan Macquarie who renamed the lake after his King George. In his talk, Patrick will pay particular attention to the record of lake level fluctuations over the past 200 years and signal the importance of this geological record.
